Common Decency

Del downloaded Sicko night before last for us to watch,{for those who follow this blog you will know that the Weinsteins stayed at La Era during the summer and the Weinstein co. was involved in the making of Sicko} we both ended up with tears streaming, I just can't get my head around the fact that one human being can deny another human being help and as for forceably ejecting folks form a hospital shiiiiit I am sorry but that is NO civilised country, telling a 22 year old young mum she is denied treatment because she is too young to have cervical cancer, totally beyond my comprehension; come on americans you aint really bad people but you gotta do something about YOUR ruling classes, the biggest majority of you have European roots, dig deep and bring out the rebel in you stop sitting back and letting it happen, join forces cross all the divides and have the common decency to look after each other in times of trouble. Another sight that appalled me was when watching a Top Gear programme where the guys drive down to new Orleans and the devastation that still exists, seems like very little has been done for the people here either how many years now?????? Certainly seems like a ME society and not a WE when it comes to common decency

Michael Moore: Recently, the head of the largest Anti-Michael Moore website announced that he had to delete the website because his wife had cancer and the insurance would not cover it. Isn't this unfair that a person cannot practice the first amendment, because of our lousy health insurance? I thought so. So, I sent him the check for 12,000 dollars anonymously and now the site is up and running once more.

Yesterday Del went to collect Amanda to let her get some shopping etc,{Julio is due back Sunday pm}she came for lunch and we both supped mucho vino tinto and put the world to rights LOL and discovered more about each other, Del went for a siesta, his inflamation is now much reduced but still uncomfortable, at 6 he is getting ready to run Amanda back to the campo when a call comes through from Cynthia can Del collect her from Pizarra station as she missed the last bus, yes but he won't make it for 7. So Del finally comes back around 8 ish........why didn't she call the local taxi dude, because she had no money on her, he even paid for her wine, cheeeeeeky
Woo de hoooodi!!!!!!! Plans for Del's 60th in February are blooming nicely :) He will be lucky enough to have a double celebration this time - a family gathering and a friends night out at Lornezo's, although we are hoping friends will call by on the Sat afternoon meet the family etc.....the location will be revealed at a later date......
Well today I must get my head into Roma's jacket as I have had to unravel again :( So focus is needed and some determination
