Inbetween times

The summer that once stretched ahead quite empty is suddenly full - as people reappear and late bookings for La Era occur - a lot of "unknown qualities" coming along, not sure of the reasons or significance as yet.......exciting scary......
I wrote the above yesterday and wow did a wave of energy come our way as it looks like I have a lot of extra work :) The guests that are arriving at La Era on the 26th of next month are staying for 2 weeks and want some one to cook not sure how many days as they want breakfast{?} and dinner - only down side is my "playmates" are arriving on the 28th ready for the village feria - ah well good job the partying doesn't start till nearly midnight so should be done cooking and clearing up by 10 plenty of time to go dance the night away, the day that this lot leave we have another load of guests so need to find a couple of other gals to come and clean for 5 hours. My crew will have left the day before otherwise I'd haul them in LOL - lucky escape Sa :)

As you complete one lesson and prepare for another you are in a space of 'not knowing', unaware of what will happen next and unsure of the next step to take. This is a powerful place as it is the place of unlimited potential and pure possibility. It is also a place of great fear when you view it from an emotional level because your mind has nothing it can connect to, there are no memories of the past in this space and no emotion. What you can do in this place is unlimited; what you often do is step back into the past, back to what is known and understood.

June marks the end of Spring and the beginning of Summer, a time when the creative pulse of Spring expands in forms of ideas and new discoveries leading to fundamental reorientations. This month is usually dominated by the Air energies of Gemini, and this June is no exception, with Mercury and Venus joining the Sun in Gemini....

Mythologically, Gemini is the sign of the freedom loving, questing, wandering Magician-Engineer, who shows that all of life is an unending grand series of experiments in truth. The lessons of the Magician require that one learn how to regard all of life experiences as so much grist for the mill of Soul, and all things seen as opportunities to break free of obsolete limitations.

Through Gemini, we can see how all "failures" have been a result of an incorrect approach to our "experiment," and observe our lack of skill, or bad timing, from a detached point of view. By the same token, we can see past "successes" as merely our using the right tools in the right way at the right time, without taking any of it too personally.Read on

There was widespread consternation on Friday at the Palais des Nations in Geneva when the US mission gave up his observer status - a step backwards for human rights around the world, says Human Rights Watch.

The news that the US has completely withdrawn from the Human Rights Council spread like wildfire Friday afternoon (June 6) through the corridors of the Palais des Nations in Geneva. There was general consternation amongst diplomats and NGOS. Reached by phone, the American mission in Geneva neither confirmed nor denied the report. Although unofficial, the news comes at a time of long opposition by the Bush administration to the reforms which created the Human Rights Council in June 2006. Washington announced from the beginning that the US would not be an active member but its observer status would mean that it could intervene during the sessions. To date even this has rarely happened.

Why are we subject to irrational beliefs, inaccurate memories, even war? We can thank evolution, Marcus says, which can only tinker with structures that already exist, rather than create new ones: Natural selection.... tends to favor genes that have immediate advantages rather than long-term value. Marcus (The Birth of the Mind), director of NYU's Infant Language Learning Center, refers to this as kluge, a term engineers use to refer to a clumsily designed solution to a problem Read more

We have to change from "ego-architecture" to "eco-architecture"....
We are coming to understand that to change a city you need political will. Secondly, you need a good strategy. Then you need solidarity and a feeling of co-responsibility.
"I'll give you an example of co-responsibility. When I was governor, we had to clean the bays. In our state we proposed to the fishermen the equation of co-responsibility. We said : "If you catch the fish, the fish belong to you. If you catch the garbage we are going to pay you. The more you fish garbage, the more money you will have." The more they cleaned the bay, they more fish they had. That's a win-win solution. Read more
