Semana Blanca

White week apparently for the skiers anyway a week off for the kids.

Well all change once more as Norman died on Sunday evening, friends had popped along to see him and take him some bits n bobs, they said he was very weak complaining of a sore throat but seemed chirpy enough and asked for some magdelaines which they went down to the cafe to get and have a quick smoke when they went back up he had gone, well guess it was better than living rough in a derelict villa; funny how death brings on feelings of guilt, ok ok I know I have no need [well that's what all my good buddies tell me]for any BUT they still creep in, so must be just part n parcel of the strange being we call human LOL. So lots of emails to authorities etc - our N was being as up front as he could have been though as I found amongst his belongings a new NHS European card and an address for the uk frim only 3 years ago mmmmmmm, I also believe he knew he was a lot more ill than he was letting on as J & S  who went to visit remarked on all the old ulcer scars on his arms, something which was normally hidden, ah well hope he is at rest now, he didn't have the greatest of futures to look forward to..........

Amazing how threatening to go to the press has got me some attention from the insurance office :) so back to sending all that through again - AND yesterday I saw Jules n Pete and Pete's old car was rammed at the w/e he had neither insurance nor itv, he only used it for the campo, but the "rammer" has to pay out, tis the way in Spain; mind you Z has written a cracking letter for me for the Olive Press which I am holding in reserve.

Spent a lovely day with Wendy yesterday we wandered to see Pedro to find crowds of people cameras radio etc, yep it's that time of year again when men in lycra are pedaling up and over the mountains - it's quite a famous race, but not being sporty inclined don't ask me what its called, so we sat had some tapas and a couple of beers and watched, the sun was out - cold wind, but despite gloomy forecasts the days are dawning fairly clean and clear, still raining at night - I know coz I had another of my sleeplessness nights finally dozing off after 4.

ooo interesting item on you n yours as I am writing all about bamboo which aint quite what it seems, what a shame and thanks for someone for finding out and making it known as I was about to get some more bamboo yarn, I bought some, well cotton bamboo mix, for the wrap I am doing for Reme, and it is lovely and soft - but maybe I'll hold on that till the manufacturing is a little better to the people who have to do it - the bamboo itself is great as it doesn't require the water that cotton does, buy the chemicals used in processing kinda outweighs the lack of pesticides used - did you know that the biggest quantity of pesticides used are used on cotton, mmmm, think on that when buying your next "natural" product - well all you who know me will know what I am about to say USE HEMP, not pesticides not water hungry grows everywhere in the world - improves the soil blah blah blah yep on my soapbox :)

One for the folks who come to stay a new cockerel has been installed and it's lud arrived last night - The good life has nothing on living in a Spanish village .......

Blessings be
