Quick update......

Soz to all that I didn't call last night - I didn't get home until nearly 11 and I went straight to Leigh and Keith's - being on my especially at night is not on at the mo :( Anyway they had told me they would cook food for me and that Jo & Terry would also be there - Jo has excellent Spanish so she phoned the hospital to see if they had moved Del as when I left - now that was the shitiest moment of my life {a selfish moment} they were saying that he should be in intensive care - while I was there yesterday evening they moved him from urgencia into a ward and he seemed fine sitting up quite jolly all things considered eating his dinner, Stuart the kind gent who took me down was waiting for me and so at just after 9 I said I had better go - and that was it Del started to show signs of another stroke - it is all such a catch 22 situation because as soon as he feels it coming on of course he gets scared and so that elevates his BP even higher, so get nurse who then gets Doctor and it is decreed he would be better in IC - Jo's first call to the clinico said he hadn't been moved but she called again at 1 in the morning and was told that yes he had been moved but unfortunately there isn't a number to call for IC - but I felt happier knowing that he was there under constant supervision, so when Jo n Terry left for home a little later Leigh came back and stayed here again although Stu had kindly offered to take me down this morning and drop me off and would come back whenever I phoned to collect but I will go with Zoe as I need a good Spanish speaker who is also a friend - she is also a Doctor's daughter so is quite at home in a hospital!!
Both Stinks and Squidge are tuned into events and are subdued Stinks has suddenly taken to sleeping in Del's chair
I had half planned to stay in with Del which is perfectly feasible if he is an ordinary ward but I am not sure how it is with IC - I have nothing but raise for the medical staff they are gentle and kind and THERE - it is quite the norm out here for family members to bunk down in the hospital beside your loved one - the plus side of being in a family oriented culture - his first night in Urgencias there was a nurse by his bedside all night - dozing in a chair but as soon as an attachment to him became detached she was up and on the case - Del said he was sleepily aware :) and there are some VERY pretty nurses which has to be a bonus for the male patient - OK I am beginning to waffle now
Paul if you come by here if Del is kept in for longer than the w/e I think I would really appreciate your company compassion and common sense - I have to work next week and I don't see how I can NOT if you see what I mean, not just for the monetary side but because of letting down a lot of people - a voice in my head says bollocks to all that Del comes first - I am gonna try and work a way of getting what needs to be done and seeing Del too IF he is still in hospital - where there is a will there is a way
THANK YOU everyone for your love & support I really appreciate each and everyone of you
Leigh and Keith reminded of Mary o shit I hadn't contacted her so will do that this morning and I am sure she will be in touch with Paul and Sam too
