Another week whizzes by........

Ah well as I was about to publish this last night wqhen life took another turn - Del is back in hospital - ambulance was called about 8ish - he has what looked like small strokes - all soooooo fuckin scary I'll be in touch again soon have woken this morning and need to sort out lift to go see him today - Pete followed the ambulance down with Monica who acted as interpreter - they finally left  the hospital at nearly 2am having called me to say he is being kept in under observation having had every scan possible it seems..............
Seems an age since I was here - going through a very strange time - yeah I know it's a state of mind and my mind is definitely playing monkey with me - Monday's full moon I woke feeling great and thought I was through with weird times well for a while but no back full tilt on Tuesday and still wrestling with it all, the monkey is refusing to be brought under control mmmmm - palpitations and panic attacks just envelop me for no "apparent" reason - it's funny just like everyone else I try to pin it on something outer - smoking - cut right back - caffeine only one cup instead of 2 in the morning, does it make a difference NO
funnily enough D packed in nicotine on Monday and his BP was higher than it was at danger mode yet he was and is very cool about stopping no moodies oh he has his wee pipe for herbs, but even that is minimal comparatively speaking, so as far as experimenting is concerned it is definitely a state of mind and shiiiit mine is not in a good state - even trying to meditate has been freaky  - I have to DO something no not even crochet that leaves my mind to free to freak as well - sweep mop tidy anything, I am sure to an outsider it is obvious what I am supposed to learn from all of this but right now I can't see the wood for the trees

You can always tell an old soul, by how friendly they
are to trees.

Very, very -
The
Universe

This brought Val to mind instantly - glad you are back from safe and sound from your travels

Baby sat Marta Monday night an watched Mr Magorium and the wonder [or is that wonderful/wondrous oops forgot] Emporium - oh great movie - happy movie - magic movie :} for kids of ALL ages

More news on the quarry - well irony really as the Mayor is in France, along with other Spanish Mayors  receiving some award for the wonderful area they are PROTECTING - mmmmmm - there is an article in Malaga Hoy on the awards being received

Ha Tuesday evening phone rang and Jason asking if we were going up to the party????? well it turns out Mariano had booked him a year ago for his 40th - so J came down here for a cuppa and a catch up - now there is someone who can speak up against quarries as his place is very close to a quarry everywhere a fine covering of white dust - after several years of living there he now has bronchitis  - he has never suffered breathing problems before he is young [yes J 32 is bloody young] healthy and keeps very fit being an entertainer - singer dancer - doesn't smoke drinks little etc etc
Anyway I hear that the party night was a resounding success with everyone having a fine time.....

IN between starnge times I am doing some crochet - a string rug which is fun and I can add to it whenever I get another ball of string - the real stuff, hairy string - none of that plastic trash :) and I am creating something as a birthday present for myself LOL I will get pics up on Crochet crook soon at the mo am waiting for a cable to arrive to connect to pc - the universe kindly gifted me with a phone which has a loud enough ring to hear AND a camera too but I need a cable which I got online as it was half the price of the man in the village and that includes postage too

Lots of stuff :)

So now September is with us and the temperatures have cooled down with a cooling breeze, bliss :) The cultural week has come to a close and in 2 weeks the kids will be back at school and the piscina will close.
Amanda Julio and Isolde came over for a meal on Sat - Julio has a new song he wants to record so he & Del started with the guitar and then Isolde played the fiddle for D to record - she is an absolutely delightful young woman and I hope she will be back again sooner rather than later, when they had finished recording we all headed up to the plaza to see the Flamenco - mostly children but very cute and a nice evening for Isolde who was flying back to Ireland yesterday.
Mike and Nyna - [hospitality club] arrived yesterday early evening having driven down from Granada, Mike is from London and works in environment issues [just like Lau] and Nyna a beautiful fun lady from Brazil, so we ended up going out again first to Lorenzo's for some tapas and a glass of good rioja then up to Bar Nuevo just to sit and enjoy the night and talk - Mike is very well traveled and both have many interesting tales to tell including their wedding in Brazil last year.

......the Moringa oleifera, the Horseradish Tree, known by many other names, including the Drumstick Tree, the Ben Oil tree, and Mother’s Best Friend. This is so fascinating just had to share - definitely would like to grow this little honey :) Apart from all it's incredible health properties I would love to try and make the dye - thanks Val for such an interesting and well researched subject - I know Eli will like this :)
I hope you are keeping safe in the wild weather Val - it looked quite scary when I saw some news yesterday I have yet to see how things are developing

"Coincidences" - this weekend I get an email from the gorgeous gay jay who has moved onto MySpace - we haven't heard from him for quite a while - then Del says an old friend had contacted him, they had been in the same band while still at school - now that is going back a fair while LOL - thing is D had been wondering about him a couple of days earlier and again it was through MySpace
an email from David with some pictures of what our vllage could look like if the quarry is opened.....
"Took a trip to the quarry on the other mountain yesterday. At the big one we tried to get a video but it was so dusty the lens covered ,There was no wind and no one working. We found traces of dust as seen on the roads up to the main Coin Mijas road about 1.5 km. I think the traffic speeding past moves it into the verge
The trees close are dead and the rest are sick .It is even on the power lines. You feel dirty after half and hour there and even the kids say they could taste it
