Back and Busy......

Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.

Nearly 2 weeks into the new year - yes I did dip down quite low over the new year and became a recluse - Leigh Keith & Marta returned on the 3rd but it was a few days before I seem to pick myself back up again, but boy have I bounced back , last week saw me driving to Pizarra and on Sunday I took Leigh Keith Marta and a hospitality "guesst" out to Julio & Amanda's for a lovely lunch in the sunshine, so I am mobile once more, althouygh can't stray too far as car isn't technically legal, main thing is I can get out to see friends on the campo. Also last week I got news that Sarah and Alyne are coming out for "Del's birthday" weekend [Sa was out last year for D's 60th] so good to know I will have close friends here and then I managed to get a fntastic deal for flights back to Scotland in March [€18 - couldn't be passed by] so another 10 day visit to see my beautiful babes and friends; talking of friends I received the new year Green Handbook from Su today with my wee article........

I ewnt to the market on Saturday but there was no-one out and about - they have decided to give us a free pitch for the rest of the month and see if it picks up. I have created another Joseph Coat and have an another order for one in fact I have several bnow and must get busy with them rather than crocheting bits and pieces for the markets - I got myself a book on freeform crochet which has really inspired me into greater creativity........

Ice on the cars, frost in the orange groves going down the mountain - unbelievable - no wonder Del moved on he must have known just how cold it was gonna be this year - the locals have no memory of it being like this, brrrrrrr

More sad news came last week with the death of Sharon the wonderful lady who ran the P.O with her husband Paul in Moniaive, it was Sharon who told me about Kirkland Cottage and was amazing at putting needs and offers together, she also did much for the children and was a great baker - a sadly missed lady and I am so glad I got to see her when I was back in November and my heart goes out to Paul and the girls..............

I had a surpise email from a traveller via the Hospitality Club and young 22 year year old from Cape Town, cycling through Portugal and Spain - he has a lot to learn...........he stayed Saturday and Sunday evening and biked off to Malaga this morning - a little ignorant and arogant but I am sure life with smooth these edges...............
