Levanter........

levanter
strong wind of the western Mediterranean Sea and the southern coasts of France and Spain. It is mild, damp, and rainy and is most common in spring and fall. Its name is derived from Levant, the land at the eastern end of the Mediterranean, and refers to the wind’s easterly direction. The levanter reaches its maximum intensities in the Strait of Gibraltar, where it sometimes brings eastward-flying airplanes almost to a standstill. It causes foggy weather on the Spanish coast for up to two days at a time. The levanter results from a merging of the clockwise winds of a high-pressure centre over central Europe with the counterclockwise winds of a low-pressure centre over the southwestern Mediterranean.

This hit us last week just as I went out to Amanda & Julio's - it was a very wild week out on the campo and at one point I thought I might not make it back to the pueblo, heavy rains can trash the tracks badly and I was having difficulty staying upright in the wind, but we survived and the weather has turned into spring again. Certainly an experience - you have to brave the elements to go to the kitchen and the bathroom, with lack of sun the solar went down and the winds kept the electricity flashing on and off, so plenty of time to think......

I am once more feeling unwell shit after so many years of good health this year has blown me the virus I got back in November has never really left and has come back with a vengeance and doesn't inspire me to get everything together for my flight back to Scotland tomorrow - just want to curl up in bed and sleep. I get days where I really think I am making progress and moving on and then wham I am back in my black hole again, my beliefs seem to be all up in the air and I can't get to grips with controlling my thoughts the monkey mind has got a party going on and I seem unable to stop it.

Had a good day at the table top on Saturday despite feeling shitty made a few sales including another jacket and I AM looking forward to seeing everyone back in Scotland very soon........

Happy Birthday to you Meloni for Wednesday - have a wonderful day

Eli I keep thinking of you and wonder how you are coping with everything at the moment......
