Neglected

Yes I have sadly neglected the blog for a couple of weeks; well I ended up working 4 out of the 5 mornings up at La Era; then it was the blues festie over in Coin which Leigh Keith Julio Amanda and I went to, brilliant Spanish band played, wish I could remember their name LOL but a good night and Sunday being the 20th anniversary of Del and I meeting on the A74 at Beattock Summit, I was driving back from Edinburgh to collect the kids and it was a beautiful sunny but cold morning, the fields were sparkling and I was listening to Diamonds on the soles of her shoes, coz that is what it was like, cept the car I had borrowed ran out of petrol, it was reading quarter full!! Well that was the beginning.........my knight is shining yellow armour, skidded to a halt, we had known of each other in a very abstract way for 3 years, but this was obviously the right time and place, he put a gallon of petrol in the tank, I offered to get him a coffee in Lockerbie and off I sped to the café, I bought coffee - he touched my boot - we knew each other........and then I left to collect J & L, he went back to work {A.A. Patrol} and I didn't see him for 3 weeks after that.....
Today Is Lau's birthday so it is a time of old emotional memories - all good - still make me cry though LOL
Anyway back to last week, Monday I planned to have a quiet one, but it was Terry's Bday, so that went out the window and yes the carmelito appeared, so Tuesday was a no-no, 3 days of partying had taken it's toll......also on Monday morning Leigh and I went down to Cartama Estacion {I needed printer inks and yarns} and I was wading through all the tapes I had plonked in a box in the car, put one on which had no clue as to what it was - Knockengorrach Festie - Sun of a Drum doing their thing and Del's voice and a little ditty he did just the once about reincarnation being a fact and that we will all come back!!!!! Gotta get it put on CD.......
Poor Leigh she ended up in tears..........me too.........

Well I have spent the rest of the time putting Amanda's book into order etc and today I shall print it all off, thanks to Zoe I finally got the pictures scanned and emailed to me and I snuck this one in of the jacket I did for Jo, Leigh managed to catch her on camera, it is getting qiute frustrating not being able to take photos - I have so much new stuff I want to show off LOL

It's quite uncanny how many times I have heard the Foundations in the last few weeks and not the usual Build me up Buttercup, but Baby now that I've found you, whic was always my preferred song!! No it doesn't hurt with such intensity anymore, just a dull ache when I sit and drift into memory land, but, there were many very intense moments 20 years ago too our ultimate getting toegther was not always the easiest of paths.......
Blessings be with you all
